Greetings Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Every year an exclusive four day Leadership Camp is held for the youth within the MGOCSM of North America. MGOCSM is a group of high school and college age students who meet on Sundays after the service. Our weekly meetings involve orthodox liturgical worship, Bible studies, activities and discussions. We also participate in community service projects. The purpose of this camp is to inspire youth to actively participate as leaders within our church. The American generation has had a fervor ignited within them to serve the Lord by participating in His worship, studying His scripture, and offering themselves up to His service. The fire of the few leaders from Leadership camp has sparked the Indian Orthodox youth of the whole country to carry the cross in a cheerful manner, striving to quench their insatiable thirst for Christ. For the year 2011, the Metropolitan of the North American Diocese and the National MGOCSM Council has appointed our area to host Baltimore Leadership Camp.

We would like to take this opportunity to inform each of you on a nationwide video competition we are having called “Are You Next?”.

For some time now we have been telling you guys through our numerous videos that in the summer of 2010 “Amazing” will happen in the city of Houston, Texas. In a couple of months youth from across America will converge upon the Space City and witness a truly “Amazing” experience. In the mean time we decided to come up with a way for each of you to show us how “Amazing” is happening as we speak in each of your own respective MGOCSM units.

This is a chance for you to not only show us but also the rest of the nation how Your MGOCSM Area is the best! This is your opportunity to show America that indeed “Amazing” is happening in your own MGOCSM through the various activities you do. Show us how you put the MGOCSM motto of worship, study, service into action. Remember this is a competition so get creative when making your videos!

The first trip was conducted at St. George Balikagram in Pune, India from
May 30 to June 12, 2010

The second trip will be to the Dear Neighbor Ministries in Wichita,
KS from August 8 to August 15, 2010.
